This ceremony is to see your life in a SIMULATED EXPERIENCE OF DEATH,
using techniques shared by a Japanese Buddhist sect.

What is the meaning of Life and Death.........? What is the most important thing for you in your life.........? Who are you truly............?

By discovering and understanding one’s attachments and the true nature of impermanence,
you can experience BEING REBORN IN GRATITUDE...........
and the knowledge of TRUE FREEDOM..............

The Purpose:

To be Reborn in Gratitude and meet True Freedom.

The Process:

As is the nature of Zen, ultimately the process is simple.
It will involve writing the most important people, things, and acts performed in life, and then eliminating them. There will be intermittent periods of meditation, and then a prolonged rest in savasana, the corpse pose during a Simulated Funeral Service.

Please note: Masks will be required because of Delta variant explosions which transmit within 10 seconds, we would like to be extra mindful for our gatherings.

Not allowed:

PLEASE, DO NOT WEAR

- Any MAKEUP on your face (foundation, lipstick, eye brows etc.....)

We will cover your face with a white cloth (KAOKAKE) which is Japanese Buddhist Tradition at the simulated funeral service. Many people cry during the ceremony. Once the makeup stains on the white clothes, it is difficult for us to remove it with a natural detergent, so please respect Mother Earth and avoid wearing anything on your face.

- Perfume or cologne, or any strong smell from soap etc.

We will share the room with 30 people, and we would like to create a sacred space for everyone.

Some people may have an allergic reaction from the smell, so please do not bring any smell into the studio.

*We will use some natural incense for the funeral service.

If anyone has an allergy to Sage or Palo Santo, or Mugwort, please let us know. Freedom.ananda@gmail.com

* We will send out more details for the TABIDACHI Ceremony to all attendees.
