Cultivating Sadhana: Developing a Home Practice

Join Kendra Potter for a morning asana class followed by a discussion about how to create a home practice that works for you. Perhaps this is your 700th time practicing asana, or your very first time doing yoga at home. This could be the beginning of your sadhana, a practice you do EVERY DAY, without break. It is not as intimidating as you might think.

As we enter the colder months, many of us feel the call to turn inward. We will create a plan to find a sustainable, nourishing practice for your well being. We will identify some of your roadblocks. What gets in the way of you doing your yoga? Is it distractions? Maybe not knowing how to create a sequence? Lack of accountability? A perceived lack of space in which to practice?

Practicing with teachers is very important, as they can help you with refining alignment and guiding you toward more information to deepen your understanding. However, a home practice is a way to own your relationship to yourself. It’s often the best way to discover the more contemplative aspects of your yoga practice. It changes your relationship to your living space. It can change your life.

This class is taught online via Zoom, so you can be in your home as you learn about practicing from home.
