Every year, the 4th Thursday of November is Thanksgiving Day in the United States. Spend 90 minutes of this day in a practice of embodied gratitude, and expand your understanding of what it can mean to open your heart to the present moment.

This is not your typical Thanksgiving feel-good yoga practice. This is yoga in action.

Yes, we will feel good.

Yes, we will do some delicious back bending and chest expanding.

Yes we will sigh out the tension in our jaws.

Yes, we will celebrate abundance in the spaces where we find it and make room for a third helping of mashed potatoes.

We will also look at our alignment. We’ll observe where we are and how we got here. We will acknowledge the injuries in the individual body and in the community body. We will create, collectively as well as individually, a course of action to understand how we got where we are, and what to do with this information. (Hint: sit with it). As a society in this moment, we have been invited to turn in. To cover our mouths and listen. We have also been challenged to speak up. This class will attune the ear and throat to hearing and speaking truth from an open hearted space.
